台北101

一座象徵台灣繁榮、成長的塔樓。當時建造第101層樓的用意是突破滿百、更上層樓的意涵，代表永遠追求進步與創新，也代表新年一月一日及二進制記數系統的意思。外觀如同竹子般「節節高升」，並且以每8層為一個結構單位，稱為一個「斗」，而台北101一共有8斗，取「日進斗金」，象徵「財高八斗」、財源廣進之意。仔細看每一「斗」上方更有一個銀色雲朵的「如意」，象徵平安和幸福。

A tower symbolizing Taiwan’s prosperity and growth. The construction of the 101st floor represents surpassing 100 – a symbol of continuous progress and innovation. It also reflects meanings such as January 1st of the new year and the binary number system. The building resembles a bamboo stalk, growing higher section by section. Every 8 floors form a structural unit called a “dou”, and Taipei 101 has 8 dou in total. This design echoes the phrase “daily increase in wealth” and “great wealth”, symbolizing abundance and prosperity. Each “dou” is topped with a silver cloud-shaped “ruyi,” which represents peace and happiness.
