Painted by Zhang Zeduan of the Northern Song Dynasty, this masterpiece intricately portrays the daily lives of the people, inspiring subsequent generations of painters to emulate its style. The artist used a traditional format and multiple-point perspective to organize the composition, resulting in a piece that is long yet concise, rich yet orderly, tightly woven together. Consequently, it is regarded as one of the most renowned works in Chinese painting.
