The golden mask of Tutankhamun, the pharaoh of the 18th dynasty of ancient Egypt who reigned from 1332 to 1323 BC. It was discovered by the British archaeologist Howard Carter in the pharaoh’s tomb in the Valley of the Kings in 1925, and is now housed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. This mask is one of the most famous works of art in the world and a symbol of ancient Egypt, and is one of the most popular exhibits in exhibitions of ancient Egyptian artifacts.
