楊．維梅爾

維梅爾生於荷蘭台夫特，也畢生於此工作。他與林布蘭常一同被稱為荷蘭黃金時代最偉大的畫家，他們的作品中都有透明的用色、嚴謹的構圖，以及對光影的巧妙運用。維梅爾擅於精細地描繪一個限定的空間，優美地表現出物體本身的光影效果及人物的真實感與質感。

Johannes Vermeer was born in Taft, Holland, and worked there all his life. Together with Rembrandt, he is often referred to as one of the greatest painters of the Dutch Golden Age. Vermeer was adept at delicately depicting a limited space, beautifully representing the light and shadow effects of the objects themselves and the realism and texture of the figures.
